1) It is important to let the Holy Spirit influence a church service and not just participate in a routine ritual.
2) We can't take for granted those things that we already know and accept within the gospel.
3) We have to nourish the gospel within us and prune those things outside the gospel from our lives.
4) Those who reject the gospel may hear about the gospel, but they will not understand because the Holy Spirit will not be in them.
5) A message brought forth by man, which is not consistent with the gospel message that Jesus Christ brought, must be rejected.
6) Jesus taught in parables so the mysteries of the kingdom of God would only be understood by those who believe in God and have the Holy Spirit within them.
7) Esaias, who is referred to in Matthew, is also known as Isaiah.
8) Waxed gross refers to thicken or make like a callous.
9) Many prophets and decipiles have desired to be present when the restored gospel was brought forth. Today, we have the restored gospel available to us, if we choose to participate.
