1) “The Word” means something taught, the divine expression of those things Jesus taught. 2) The good news of the gospel should “drive” our life. 3) Jesus had the purpose in life on earth to shine the light of the word of God. 4) This word is still available to us today, if we seek it. 5) John was sent to bear witness of the gospel. 6) It is our calling as well, to learn and bear witness of the gospel. 7) We can show our love for God by keeping His commandments. 8) To believe in Jesus’ name, you must accept the authority of Jesus to bring the gospel and you must follow the commandments of God. 9) To say you believe in Jesus, and then think there is nothing else required of you, is contrary to the gospel Jesus brought to man. 10) When you truly believe in the gospel Jesus brought, you have the opportunity to receive his fullness, which is immortality and eternal life. 1) God’s work cannot be overthrown, therefore we must be careful not to fight against the will of God. 2) Even with the best of intentions, if we return our soul to God, without having given it the proper care, our soul may be lost. 3) If more people would accept the standards from God, found in the Bible and the Book of Mormon, much more could be accomplished. 4) There will be a just reward for the care you have given your soul. 5) The truth often offends people when it gets in the way of traditions. 6) To truly understand the gospel, you must gain knowledge through studying the scriptures. 7) Once you have gained knowledge of the scriptures, you can gain wisdom through the power of God’s spirit. 8) You must have knowledge and wisdom to be able to righteously share the gospel with others.
